How is transumbilical breast augmentation performed?

This method of breast enlargement (“augmentation mammaplasty”) is utilized when patients want to avoid any scarring on the breasts. Dr. Cheski performs breast augmentation through the belly button by making a small incision on the inside of the naval.

He will then make a tunnel up towards the breasts and insert the implants. Most breast surgeries allow the option of either saline filled or silicone breast implants; however, this method limits the patient to saline implants due to the narrow opening. The implant shell will be inserted and then filled.
